Axes and Wings: Book 1

Drangrere is under attack, and not even dragon riders are invulnerable.
On the front lines, or rather skies, is the dwarf, Kade, a shy but dedicated dragon rider for Drangrere, along with his green-scaled mount, Emerald. He is content to serve his team and protect his kingdom from goblins, trolls, and other dangerous enemies.
But attacks on settlements are increasing. The king has grown lax about defenses, focusing more on swiftly expanding the borders of Drangrere, despite the risks. Princess Griffin, though, is willing to listen and support the riders in whatever way she can.
Kade must step up to help defend the kingdom with all the bravery and fierceness of a dragon because a sinister force is on the move that won’t hesitate to destroy a complacent adversary.
Enter the first book of an epic fantasy trilogy. This coming-of-age tale is filled with action, adventure, friendship, and a touch of romance. Perfect for any lovers of both dragons and dragon riders.

I absolutely love the storytelling. The books narration is so soothing, and as a science fiction and fantasy lover, the reading experience so far is thrilling. I did not encounter any misspellings or grammatical errors, nor have any negative views to offer. Its style is engaging, sublime, and emotionally appealing, so I rate this book a perfect 5 stars. Fiction and fantasy lovers should read A Dark Horizon: Axes and Wings, especially those who enjoy Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The Hobbit, and comparable movies and series.
Jonathan Alemede, eBookFairs, 5 Star Review:
I loved how the plot was put together, with each chapter adding more tension and exciting action scenes. The author has done a great job with this book since it is the first in the series. I think adults who like epic fantasy stories that focus on characters and have themes of responsibility and complicated political intrigue will enjoy it. 5 stars is well deserved!

The rhythm is consistent and natural and the action transitions to emotion without disorientation. There are no sections that are difficult to read through. The narrative is well-flowing and keeps the reader interested throughout the story.
The emotional richness of the characters propels the story, particularly the bravery of Kade and the desire of Princess Griffin. While reading, the readers share their pain and their dreams.
Among the most striking lessons of the novel is the lesson of courage and teamwork. It is also a lesson of power and being strong not only with power but also with devotion to others, tolerance, and sympathy.
This novel is focused on young adults and adults who are interested in fantasy worlds that revolve around the themes of dragons, adventure and heart. The author also presents an exciting and emotional beginning to the new fantasy series. Highly recommend reading it.
